 On Labour Day weekend St. Jacobs will play host to “Grande Artistry on the banks of the Conestoga”.

Simply called “Grande Artistry” it will be held on the banks of the Conestoga River on Saturday and Sunday of Labour Day weekend. The event will host artists from the area surrounding St. Jacobs. Grande Artistry will honour our art community and all its hard-working artists, musicians and crafts-people. Grande Artistry will give visitors and local residents the opportunity to view original art and meet and talk with the artists.

The event will also serve as a vehicle for young artists as well. Students from the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo and Conestoga College faculties of art are being invited to mount an exhibit of their own. This event will be housed in a separate tent.

 A brand new festival is brewing in Sarnia, the “Hiawatha’s Labour Day Bash”, is to be held on the grounds at Hiawatha Horse Park and Entertainment Centre.

The grounds will feature 3 nights of music, motocross demonstrations, camping, paintball, beach volleyball, go-karts and a driving range. The current line-up includes 5440, The Trews, Hinder, Doc Walker and more to be released on a later date.
