Simply called “Grande Artistry” it will be held on the banks of the Conestoga River on Saturday and Sunday of Labour Day weekend. The event will host artists from the area surrounding St. Jacobs. Grande Artistry will honour our art community and all its hard-working artists, musicians and crafts-people. Grande Artistry will give visitors and local residents the opportunity to view original art and meet and talk with the artists.

The event will also serve as a vehicle for young artists as well. Students from the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo and Conestoga College faculties of art are being invited to mount an exhibit of their own. This event will be housed in a separate tent.

Born in Singapore, Masia moved to Canada where she developed as a graffiti artist, b-girl and MC. Her album PULAU reflected influences including the culture of South East Asia, heated dance hall tempos of Jamaica and the feel good vibe of California.

Her much anticipated new album features Masia’s remarkable flow over highly infectious dancehall, electro and dance rhythms. This Singapore-Canadian girl is about to become a household name for urban music internationally.

The grounds will feature 3 nights of music, motocross demonstrations, camping, paintball, beach volleyball, go-karts and a driving range. The current line-up includes 5440, The Trews, Hinder, Doc Walker and more to be released on a later date.

Take advantage of the on-site camping in order to be a part of all the activities throughout the day, finishing with a concert each night. End the summer with a blast by attending the Hiawatha Labour Day Bash. The on-sale date for Hiawatha’s Labour Day Bash will be in June.
